Helping People Encounter God's Kindness
Words of Rhythm & Grace
God's Kindness Quest Series
God communicates through Scripture, prayer, worship, and the Comforter
His invitations to draw us closer
Heaven’s vocabulary has a rhythm, a tempo, a grace
Untarnished wisdom for any timing and place
People taught me things I must unlearn
For God’s truth, I yearn
The Bible, his love, and Divine Spirit are my guide
He excavates and restores what I prefer to hide
I’m discovering God’s compassion and his rhythms of life
Learning to let go of negativity and strife
Sometimes thoughts fill my soul with tormenting regret
God reminds me it’s not too late to change, life isn't over yet
When I have nothing left to give and lie exhausted in bed
He ignites exhilaration to explore his illuminated path ahead
Overwhelming seasons are frustrating and seem to never end
Until God unveils the hidden treasures I could not see, nor comprehend
He liberates me from every bondage and seemingly unbreakable chain
Heavenly melodies eradicate my physical and emotional pain
Whatever the challenges of conquering each day
God's grace seems more tangible when I seek him and pray

Prayer
James 5:16 (NLT), "... The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results."
Lord, forgive me for when I have ventured out on my own, rather than following you. Teach me your ways. I don't just want to know about you. I want to know you intimately. Help me draw close enough to hear your whisper.
Grant me clarity and wisdom regarding the difference between your voice, the voice of the devil, and my own thoughts. Give me clear discernment and the ability to identify false doctrine and teachings. Show me how to pray, when to speak, and when to remain silent. I come with a teachable heart and mind. Let your school begin. Amen.

Scripture
2 Timothy 3:16 (NLT), "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true ..."
Matthew 11:28-30 (Message)
"'Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.'”
2 Timothy 3:14-17 (NLT)
"But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you. You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work."
John 14:25-26 (NLT)
"'I am telling you these things now while I am still with you. But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.'"
