God's Holy Presence
My lovely bride and I were enjoying time with some dear friends. At one point, we turned our focus to seeking God together. They asked us each to answer a question, “What would you like God to do through you?" I had no prepared answer. This came out of my mouth, “I want to be a vessel for ushering in the holy presence of God through spoken words and writing. In the holiness of God, he reveals himself and people know he is real. He highlights our sin and invites us to his life-giving alternatives, while revealing his love and mercy. The key is he does it all. I would simply be a vessel to help usher in his holy presence.” I contemplated those words the next morning, and this writing evolved.
