Hardens the heart and proliferates bitterness

Prayer

James 5:16 (NLT), "... The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results."

Lord, I come to you with dump truck loads of debris, which have clogged my heart. The whirlwind of life’s disappointments obscured your pathways to freedom. Forgive me for allowing painful experiences to drive my thinking, emotions, and actions. I ask you to cleanse the lenses of my heart and mind.

Instill in me new godly habits and ways of processing the challenges of life. Help me respond as you would in every situation. Renew my thinking with your truths. I ask you to awaken me each day with a fresh personal interaction with you. Amen.
