Begin All-In

God's Kindness Quest Series

A glorious sunrise signals a fresh day is about to begin

My heart and mind are in a tug of war, which will win

Lord, you know my soul and where my thoughts go

Help me sort it out, tired of swaying to and fro

My fleshly desires prefer to drown out Holy Spirit’s voice

His whispers lovingly guide me, while allowing free choice

Sometimes I stress over distinguishing which voice I hear

Lord, help me hear you crystal clear

Part of me hesitates, uncertain what God might say

A battle rages within, whose plan will I execute today

Then a vision unfolds, like a movie from Father God

My footprints appear in a vast field of his freshly tilled sod

The encounter outlines a grandiose endeavor from my King

It was never on my radar to pursue this unfamiliar thing

Overwhelmed by how to accomplish what God asks

Feeling ill-equipped to undertake the enormous tasks

Surrendering my best ideas and plans, calling them dead

I welcome God’s lit path instead

With both feet and a deep breath, I leap forward, All-In

In faith, trusting God to show me where to begin

Did God plant a creative seed many years ago in your heart

Yet, you lacked the courage to start

Perhaps you believe it’s too late

What if the delay didn’t void what he will create

The enemy wants you paralyzed, fearful you might fail

Embrace God’s opportunity to grow and prevail

Today is a new day, start with a grin

Let joy fill your heart as you begin, All-In

Prayer

James 5:16 (NLT), "... The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results."

Lord, I repent for half-heartedly executing or hesitating to obey your promptings. At times, I rejected or ran from your requests. I have allowed fear, my own insecurities, selfishness, and lack of trust in you to keep me from your best.

Lord, I give you my perception of being All-In and receive your definition instead. Teach me how to transition, free from hindrances, fully committed to your plans and purposes.

I acknowledge my inability to do what you have asked without your guidance and empowerment. Help me embrace your plans with zeal and obey without hesitation. Amen.
