* Blessings & Invitations Series*
This series invites us to receive God's blessings.

His Light Shines Brightly
Imparting blessings was a common practice in the Bible. However, people rarely impart blessings in today's culture. Therefore, we may not know how to speak blessings over others or ourselves. An easy way to create a blessing prayer is to base it on Scripture. The Word of God contains countless blessings our Heavenly Father intends for us. The following Scripture-based examples illustrate the creation of a blessing prayer focused on “God’s Light”.
Psalm 56:13 (NLT), “For you have rescued me from death; you have kept my feet from slipping. So now I can walk in your presence, O God, in your life-giving light.”
We bless you to draw close to the Lord, under his protection and sure-footedness.
We bless you to receive all the benefits of the King's life-giving light.
Psalm 89:15 (NLT), “Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship, for they will walk in the light of your presence, Lord.”
We bless you to praise and dance with great joy, giving thanks to God for what he has done and is about to do.
We bless you to be engulfed in the Father's presence, as you heed his call to worship.
Psalm 97:11 (NLT), “Light shines on the godly, and joy on those whose hearts are right.”
We bless you to leap out of bed, excited to spend time with your Heavenly Father.
Psalm 119:130 (NLT), “The teaching of your word gives light, so even the simple can understand.”
We bless you to comprehend the truths revealed in Scripture and communicate them to others with great ease.
Proverbs 20:27 (NLT), “The Lord’s light penetrates the human spirit, exposing every hidden motive.”
We bless you to be sensitive to hear and obey God’s life-changing invitations.
Isaiah 5:20 (NLT), “What sorrow for those who say that evil is good and good is evil, that dark is light and light is dark, that bitter is sweet and sweet is bitter.”
We bless you to discern clearly what is good vs. evil; truth vs. lies; godly vs. counterfeit.
Matthew 5:15 (NLT), “No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.”
We bless you to be a vessel of God’s light, every moment of every day, unashamed, unafraid, a beacon of hope to the lost and hurting.
Luke 11:35 (NLT), “Make sure that the light you think you have is not actually darkness.”
We bless you to dwell in the presence of Almighty God, where darkness can't thrive and truth is illuminated.
John 8:12 (NLT), “Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.””
We bless you to follow Abba Father with a surrendered heart and teachable spirit.
We bless you to receive the “Light of the World”, which dispels the darkness and guides you forward.
The blessings to speak over yourself or others, without the Scriptures:
